It's been an exciting week! I can't believe my semi-luck is finally paying off. I worked on a small contract on Monday through Wednesday setting up training workstations and a server at Chase bank branch. On Wednesday morning I got a phone call to set up an interview with another company. It's for a 6-month+ possible hire desktop position. Too bad it's on the south side of town. The good news is it's for a strong company. I'm supposed to hear from the husband's company soon as well. It's been over three weeks since I submitted my resume to them. It would be nice because of it's proximity to home and I could carpool with hubby.

I've been considering making the drive to Crawford to offer support for Cindy Sheehan. Bushit's response is a complete lack of remorse and a nose-thumbing to those that have lost in this war. I think the Italians have the most incredible way of controlling idiocracies like starting wars where they have no right to be. After their high school graduation, every male is required to train in their military for two years. Some decide to make it a career, some do not. As it were, this is a fantastic way to control those very passionate natures that are ingrained into the Italian malles. Of course, going to war cuts down on the fiestas and other ways to stay up until ungodly hours and sleep all afternoon. :)

Okay it's time to move the WWMW down a few spaces. Frightening to behold!

Today was a much better day jobwise. I got a call from a recruiting company for a two-day gig next week. The pay was okay and it would be nice to get up in the morning for a reason so I said, "Sure, why not?" I also got an email from another recruiting company saying they have a temp-to hire position nearby. Even though the pay sounded a little less than what I was willing to take, I figure there's always room for negotiation, right?

I also met with the Vet rep at the unemployment office. He was very helpful and extremely nice. Thank you Tracy!

The Hackett - Schmidt race was nail-biting to the end. Unfortunately Paul did not get the win, but it was a great moral victory for the Left. Maybe there is hope for this God-forsaken state!

Our neighborhood had a small get-together today for a "meet your neighbor" party. We found out there was quite an age-range in the neighborhood and that most of our neighbors were very friendly and approachable. I look forward to actually knowing names the next time I see folks doing their yardwork and being able to say "Hi!"

I am now the proud owner of the entire Augusten Burroughs library. He is witty, intelligent, and a great read.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JORDYNE!!!

I just HAVE to put up this image...
